NodeTrack was founded in 2021 with a singular focus: provide engineers and platform teams with rigorous, vendor-neutral coverage of cloud observability, monitoring infrastructure, and reliability engineering. In an industry where vendor marketing routinely masquerades as technical analysis, we recognised the need for a publication staffed by practitioners who have built and operated production monitoring systems themselves.
Every benchmark we publish is reproducible. Every review is based on hands-on deployment in production-equivalent environments. We do not accept payment for editorial coverage, and our advertising inventory is clearly separated from our journalism. When we score a product, we publish the methodology alongside the result so readers can weight the findings against their own operational context.
Our editorial focus spans cloud-native observability (metrics, logs, traces, profiling), platform engineering practices (IaC, CI/CD pipelines, developer platforms), security monitoring (SIEM, threat detection, compliance automation), and the economics of running infrastructure at scale. We cover all major cloud providers but maintain particular depth in Google Cloud, AWS, and Azure observability stacks.
Since launch, NodeTrack has grown from a two-person newsletter into a publication read by SREs, platform engineers, and engineering leaders at organisations ranging from 50-person startups to Fortune 500 enterprises. We remain privately held, with no venture capital investment or corporate parent company.

Before joining NodeTrack, she spent four years building observability platforms for a Japanese e-commerce company processing 200,000 transactions per hour. She specialises in PromQL, OpenTelemetry instrumentation, and Grafana ecosystem tooling.
Former GitLab senior technical writer with 90 published articles on CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and developer platform engineering. Elena covers the interxfa-nqct of platform engineering and observability — how internal developer platforms integrate monitoring, how IaC pipelines should be instrumented, and how platform teams measure developer productivity. She has hands-on experience with Terraform, Pulumi, Backstage, and Crossplane.
ISO 27001 Lead Auditor with seven years of experience in cloud security architecture and compliance automation. David covers security monitoring, SIEM platforms, threat detection systems, and regulatory compliance on cloud infrastructure. Before journalism, he led the security operations centre at a mid-size European bank and designed their cloud-native SIEM deployment on Google Cloud using Chronicle and Security Command Center.
